Not All Are Equal
We know and halfway think of the terms and conditions associated with technology and contracts of many kinds, but what about the social agreements with friends?
Terms do exist, but we forget in the haze of many and the unending yearn for more friends.
But, are they real friends? To you? What does it take to be with them? What does it mean, and do you care about the terms?
Because the terms, they vary big time from friend to friend, person to person, mind to mind, quirk to quirk, and yes emotion to mood and mood back to even more emotions. Each person is different, each person has different expectations, and yes each person has different motivations.
We may not always be aware of the motivations, the assumptions, or even the manipulative operation in full play within our own lives from friends/associates or whatever you call them to feel better about yourself.
But it matters, the terms, the friends, the how, the why, and how long.
Everyone is not forever. Every friend and friendship cannot be forever. You would in truth not only run out of room in your house of life and thriving. More than that, you would grow overwhelmed with the crowd of noise.
Yet that doesn’t mean we all don’t still learn from and through the long term with friends.
But some friends, their terms are too high, steeper than ever before. Life reveals most in truth:
Some cost too much
Some expect too much
Some give too much
Some talk too much
Some waste too much
Some cry too much
Some charm too much
Leaving us to dwell in the delusions that most time we believe as true simply because they are our friends.
What happens when the charmed veil falls off? What happens when the costs incurred leave you so far in emotional debt — let alone financial debt — that you drown further beneath the waves of life you were barely treading when they met you? What happens when clarity and deeper truths prevail and we learn to let go when needed.
Humans are humans most on this planet.
Live, learn, trust, and let go of attachments and expectations!
